It was a rainy race today in Michigan. Clint Bowyer's team made a late race call that not only was bold and risky but ultimately ended up winning them the race. The race was called at lap one-thirty-three for rain, but was also delayed by two hours beforehand, the green flag not falling for the first time until after four o'clock EST.
The Fords were the ones to beat today, and made up most of the final top ten, with Kevin harvick in 2nd. After the race was called Harvick found Bowyer on pit road and gave him a hug, and Aric Almirola wasn't far behind. In his interview Harvick talked about how if 'you had to give away a win, may as well be to your teammate.' and that it was a cool way to end it.
This is Bowyer's first win at MIS, and they made a make shift Victory Lane in the garage under cover. There's a lot you could say about Bowyer but I personally think it's better to just show you his interview. Bowyer's interviews are definitely one of a kind and always make me smile to watch.
